What have they done?
Re: Historic day for Italian rugby
I think they've qualified for the Pro 14 play-offs for the first time, and the 2019-2020 Champions Cup automatic.Mick Mannock wrote:What have they done?

Re: Historic day for Italian rugby
Great for Italian rugby. I'd love to see Treviso take a Spiv scalp next season too.

About time. It only took them, what, 20 odd years?

What would it mwan financially? They might need to sign a couple star players.

Not sure how it works now. Does that mean there'll be no Welsh region in the Heineken next year?
Certainly makes it more exciting to finally have a competitive league.

Possibly benefited from the conference system. Ospreys had more points I think but didn't qualify.message #2527204 wrote:Not sure how it works now. Does that mean there'll be no Welsh region in the Heineken next year?

Re: Historic day for Italian rugby
Indeed. Been a funny old year for the Welsh regions. As pointed out, the Ospreys finished on more points than Traviso (in the opposite conference), and Cardiff managed to lose all their first 3 games, while leading into the 80th minute. In another year, with the odd bounce of the ball going the other way, Wales would have had 3 odd teams in the playoffs. It is what it is though.Leinsterman wrote:Ospreys and Scarlets are holding a playoff for the last spot.message #2527204 wrote:Not sure how it works now. Anywho, I was saying from the get-go this season that Treviso looked a bit of alright. Particularly, they have a seriously meaty pack.

True, but they always had a meaty pack.Jeff the Bear wrote:

They are well trained now and they showed a do or die attitude that let them grasp wins and bonuses.
This made a difference.
Scarlets quiet season helped too
