France will be murdered by Ireland if they do not sort the discipline. They will take the 3pts and force yellow cards.

But good to see a good back line, always threatening. We have come back a long way from the shambles we were couple years ago.

Of course you do. French discipline was very poor at times and Ireland will force more penalties and take more advantage.

You are still clueless I see.

Young team, doing well against an experienced side.

They have good potential.

Don't bother... he has no understanding of rugby.
Frog, Wales were average tonight and we were lucky that Biggar had probably his worst game ever with Wales in term of goal kicking.

When France decided to spark, they looked threatening. I can only see them getting better. I don't see much room for Wales to improve outside of Biggar having a better day kicking. I wonder if that upper ankle strain affected him?

Enjoyable game nonetheless and I enjoyed the Arabic commentary on my feed.

Wales were white and France ill disciplined. There is much progress to be made for sure and Ireland will have a field day if we are that poor.

Apparently, if you listen to the Welsh commentators, there was a red card to be handed against Leroux as well and the red could have gone for a yellow too.

But you can't say that France are just about Dupont and Vakatawa...

I've been watching a lot of cycling lately. Can't get over how good Mathieu Van der Poel is. Is he the biggest star in Netherlands now after Max?

this side is a young side learning to play as a unit. So far, I am satisfied of their progress. They have a lot of firepower but we need to progress up front.

We had a rough time in the rucks (though we managed some nice turn over too). Scrum and lineout were good (except for the one scrum we got smashed, but this was good trickery by the Welsh front row who moved forward a step before the engagement and forced our props to seat on their ankles before engaging).

Discipline is key, we need to know when to go for the turnover and when to stand by and prepare for the next phase. We need better support of the ball carier at the tackle.

And we have a lot of work to do in the air, but this is not new.

This game was entertaining, but let's not fool ourselves, this is the first game after a long period of break from rugby and the sides are rusty.

Absolutely. I see plenty of upside for the French team though. Weaknesses at 8 and 15? A lot of the work the #8 did was sloppy.

He's the next Eddy Merkckx. He has a tasty rivalry with Wout Van Aert from Flanders. They can't stand each each other. Their sprint in the Ronde Van Vlaanderen was pretty epic last week

He had a poor game today but was one of the highlights earlier in the year. He is 23. He has a good teacher with Vito!

15 is more of an issue I think. Ramos is our best option now in my opinion.

Exactement, mon ami.

The last 20 years - where inferior breeds have routinely troubled the Anglo-French behemoths - has been an historical aberration.

Order is being restored, and not before time.

For a team that hasn't played in 7 months and had only 1 training session together before the game that was a very good game.

AW Jones has more caps than the entire French pack FFS. So errors and penalties were to be expected.

Although the Welsh were average, this is a good result.

Hopefully they can carry this enthusiasm into next week's game and give the Irish a tough match.

Well played by the French, made life very tough in the rucks, no quick ball and lots of turnovers . And at least 3 fantastic tries, seriously fun to watch.

The Fr team needs more grunt from the locks and that's been a problem for a long time. I am not a fan of 10, he kicks well but doesn't even attempt to attack the line, mostly shovelling the ball on to the centres.Fickou impressed tonight and Thomas looked sharper than he has for a while. The 15 is solid but will never be a World beater or anything remotely close

Agree, solid but a bit of a journeyman who seriously lacks pace.

You missed one of the tries the French scored then, when N'Tamack spotted the dodgy Welsh defense and went for the gap before offloading to Dupont.

Still think that teams were treating this as a bit of a training/warm up game so can't take that much from it. That said French fans should be excited about their backline and Wales have been shite this year and there wasn't much to suggest that is changing.

I think Ireland's defence will hold up better and are more ruthless in the 22 so will be a different challenge for France.

Scotland have a real, real chance.

The Welsh defense is definitely the number 1 worry. The lack of coordination when rushing opened gaps that France exploited clinically. Biggar also dropped 8 points from kicks that are usually within his range. I don't know why the Welsh management insisted to play an injured player.

The greatest improvement for France is that new ability to convert most opportunities into points. I hope they keep this up. They were clinical in their finishing with Wales and that made the difference. One can point out that they should have scored one more try (had Aldritt not dropped the ball over the line) but we are close to a 100% conversion of opportunities into scores. Discipline has to improve and while our commitment in the rocks slow the Welsh attack a lot and turned over a good number of ball, another referee would have brought a yellow card out earlier than that. Against Ireland, that sort of indiscipline will cost us dear.
