"They are not softies, they're not like Ireland.
"They're not like England, who goes away.
"They are tough fellows."
EDIT: He also implies that England are soft too if you put enough pressure on them.

All seems eminently reasonable to me.

Years of inbreeding and working down the mines has made them tough alright. Stupid but tough.
Re: Are Ireland soft? Are Wales hard? Yes according to Rassie Erasmus
Was also interesting that part of the game plan was "to xxxxx Wales up physically" Rassie was almost cheering when the Wales players went off injured.

The Irish beat them 38-3 the last time they played.
The Boks have got very full of themselves for a team who fluked their way to a Cup and ambushed England after they'd already played their final.

That's basically been the Springbok game plan against everyone for about 100 years. TBF they are pretty good at it.

Don't be so mean, otherwise his scented candles and chamomile tea won't be enough to get him over his jitters, and he'll have to cry into his pillow again tonight.

What does Nige say?
Re: Are Ireland soft? Are Wales hard? Yes according to Rassie Erasmus
The Welsh game was the Saffas final. They knew if they won that then they’d win the whole thing.
As it happened they edged past a dogged, injury ravaged, Wales. And the England game was a blowout.
Ireland are non-entities past the pool phase. Never to be taken seriously.

Nige would tell Oirish not to take any comfort from his words ‘IT’S NOT SUCCOUR!’
Edit - look guys, you just won’t get a better Nige pun than that. I’d just take it and be happy, if I were you.

Yes, I'm happy to concede that point. I apologise.

"They're not like England, who goes away.
"They are tough fellows."
EDIT: He also implies that England are soft too if you put enough pressure on them.
