Pat Cummins Player of the Series?
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
Epic by India. They were on the canvas after the first test. Kohli out and the the bench warmers step up. Not a great result for NZ. Thanks very much Australia.

And to think 11 months ago India including Kohli were beaten 2-0 by New Zealand.

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
It’s pretty good for New Zealand. Aus have to pretty much win all 3 tests in South Africa or they drop to 3rd and out of the ICC test champs.

Superb by India. Greatest ever away series win, given the circumstances?

Tim Paine being booed by the Gabba crowd.
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
i believe both Aus and india need to win their repsetice series 2-0. Aus in Sth Africa (who arent that strong right now) ... but Aus aren t great either. India can certainly win a 4 test home series 2-0 vs England. NZ reallt need SA or End to win a test.

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
Would be fantastic for indian supporters but Headingly kills it as i had skin in the game. plus the England win was never favourite. India had this from some way out
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
This aus team will be lucky to win one game in SA. No sandpaper this time remember?

Personally I think it would sum up nz cricket perfectly if Aus and India both win their next series 2-0 and qualify to play at Lords.
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
Incredible performance by India. Deserved winners of the series and they have unearthed a lot of new talent.
Australia’s cricket side needs to do some soul searching. Maybe we are not as good as we thought? The last two pitches played pretty well for 5 days or maybe our bowling was not up to the Indian batting lineup....without Kolhi?
I’m guessing something will change before SA.

Huge credit to coach Shastri. a fine player in his day who had great success in Australia. Was under pressure after the CWC 2019 and losing to #1 NZ 2-0 away from home. What he has done to get his side fighting and grafting is remarkable.

I take it back.mr bungle wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 9:21 amI’ve always enjoyed watching and respect Aus cricket. The quality of player is incredible. I don’t even mind the harder edge to guys like Waugh and Ponting and such. But at a time when you needed to soften the approach and steer it back from the potentially uglier side of the game, Paine is a genuinely solid soul to lead it.Ellafan wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 6:57 amAre you suggesting that, for example, Ian Chapple, Alan Border, or Steve Waugh had a "contrived" attitude? How about the Don? Apparently he was a complete bastard as a captain.

It would sum up NZ cricket perfectly if we sneaked our way into the final and then got pumped by an innings and 200 runs.not_english wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:00 am Personally I think it would sum up nz cricket perfectly if Aus and India both win their next series 2-0 and qualify to play at Lords.

Paine has to go and make Smith captain. He already is the captain in everything but name.

If he's in the AB's he's not a dickhead (that's the real "No Dickheads" policy - it's like the old apartheid tour days, you get granted honorary non dickhead status). As soon as someone is no longer good enough for the AB's he reverts to being a dickhead.JamesJames wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 7:36 amWhat if you're a dickhead like Sevu Reece? So you can only be a Kiwi if you are born in New Zealand? What about Neil Wagner, Irene van Dyk or Jerome Kaino?
Funnily enough, the reverse seems to apply to the Australian Cricket team.

Not sure cricket Australia will reinstate him as although the Aussie public would be ok with it he’s a bit tainted on a worldwide levelJerome Manning wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:08 am Paine has to go and make Smith captain. He already is the captain in everything but name.

Don't talk rubbish. Winviz is a brilliant tool that at any given time gives you the most likely result from all known info including weather forecasts and 10k games simulated from that point.
This result is what is great about sport
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
India, battered and bruised from an onslaught of short pitch bowling, emerge triumphant. While Australia, who strutted around with tennis balls under the armpits, now wallow in self pity. Beautiful.

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
I do love to see Australia lose at sport but apart from Grievous and Ellerfan their supporters on here have deserved better than they got from their team. So many pluses for India though.
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
With the Gabba, an unbeaten fortress since 1988, now a pile of rubble does that leave Eden Park, unconquered (rugby) since 1994, the last great sporting fortress in the World?
Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
On the back of Warne the troll's fluffing of Lyon-O's prospects of "becoming the greatest spinner ever as long as...caveat, caveat...", I thought I'd mention the pork he's been carrying around his middle this series...

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
The Boks have only lost once since 74 in PE.
(although there has been a draw there recently)

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
That’s only 15 tests since the loss, includes one draw and only one test vs NZ, Eng, Aus, Fra, Lions.
Since 95 NZ have played 43 tests at Eden Park with one draw, 16 tests vs Aus, 5 vs Fra, 4 vs Eng, 4 vs SA, 3 vs Lions (1 x draw). 32 tests vs quality opposition.

Re: Cricket: Australia vs India TEST SERIES
Your obsession with my bets and pretending that I've had a losing bet when I've not even had a bet is a bit unique but quite funny. If I have a bet on your teams games I always say so at the time so I can't be accused of making it up knowing the result. This being the case it must hurt you knowing that on declared bets I'M WINNING.grievous wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 10:44 amAnonymous 1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 10:11 am I do love to see Australia lose at sport but apart from Grievous and Ellerfan their supporters on here have deserved better than they got from their team. Carry on slagging off the Indian team and expecting a conclusive result to the racism accusation
