Still a bit shite, you are getting an unknown quantity. Why not let them bring their own horses out like all the other equestrian disciplines.

The modern Pentathlon is based off what soldiers had to do at the time the Olympics started. That includes possibly riding a horse at short notice. The horses are supposed to be similar in nature. But there can be a lottery element, especially if someone isn't able to bond with their horse quickly.

Well that, and they want to avoid the Arms race of the most expensive horse winning.

Big chance missed by GB. Poor US and Jamaican team. Traditionally we are 3rd best.

Because it makes an already niche sport even less accessible?

Should replace the cross country with mountain biking or something.

Lydia Ko had a great front nine but may be cracking as she starts the back 9 poorly.

Meanwhile, Carrington will be in a fourth final.

The fuckers at TVNZ have cut to some pointless K4 buildup meanwhile Ko is tied for 2nd with 3 holes left, one shot behind the lead.

Cut back to play suspended. I'm really glad I got to see that film of the kayaker's 13 family members instead of the 16th hole

Here is a good live feed of the currently suspended women's golf.

Click on the mute button in the lower left, then the headphones in the lower right and select English commentary.

I watched a bit of the handball a week back. Just seemed to be lots of passing back and forward around the circle awaiting an opening for a shot. That was the only tactic on show. I realise the game is hugely popular in Europe, but does it open up any?

yup.

How much of the Handball did you watch - plenty of athleticism and contact on show in the game I'm watching

It's DEN Vs NOR - I imagine that's like NZ Vs AUS

First boxing gold for GB. Yafai bossed it from first to last. Knocked his man down in the first round, and went from there.

Great box tbh.
Great gold given his journey, beating the Cuban was awesome.
Hopefully a gold for Wales tomorrow.
